About Papiro

We build Papiro so every book has its place.

Papiro is a free, ad-free app to track, discover and share your personal library. It's built by CortexIA, a technology startup from Mexico.

Who we are

The people behind Papiro

Papiro is a product of CortexIA, a Mexican technology startup that builds apps, software and data products. Our focus is readers: tools to keep what they read, remember it and share it.

It was founded by Martín Cortés, founder of CortexIA, who started Papiro as the app he wanted for his own library. Today we keep building it with what readers tell us every day.

How it started

Why Papiro exists

Papiro was born in 2026 out of a simple frustration: reading trackers were designed English-first or felt like filling in a spreadsheet.

We wanted a warm place, in our own language, to keep every book, what it left us and who we shared it with. That's why Papiro speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese and Catalan, and works on the web, iOS and Android.
